January 17, and we finally got enough snow to speak
of. The Collard Greens in my Garden finally wilted a few days ago... .Time
to dust off my cross country skis viagra. I used to count on being able to
ski every day from Christmas to March generic viagra. Those days have long passed generic cialis. online pharmacy. cialis online.
I'll be watching CBS
news tonight for a special report on the Dairy Industry. I learned
a long time ago that "nature's perfect food" is actually
less than ideal for the majority of humans, and may be implicated
in auto immune disorders such as arthritis, diabetes,
and lupus. I know that one of the most dramatic improvements in my
health ever was when I completely gave up dairy...

Time
magazine's cover story this month is titled, "How
to keep the Doctor Away". We've come a long way from not
so long ago when Doctors were considered Gods, to be consulted as
all knowing oracles of science. Having worked in health care, as a
Paramedic and Intensive Care RN, I can testify to the risk that people
put themselves in when they enter that system. 100,000 people a year
die from the effects of their properly
used prescription medicines. When I used to quote these
statistics to my fellow workers, they thought I was making it up.
It's still true among most health care workers that anyone who really
takes good care of their body is considered an oddball....

Some readers may have noticed that the cartoon
sometimes changes at odd times during the morning. That's usually
because I've been swamped with other work, which is more and more
the case, thankfully, and I haven't been able to put together a new
cartoon in time for the midnight changeover. In those cases I go to
the Alex's catalog and pull out a favorite.....
There are still a few signed copies of the New
book available, send a check for for
$12.95 plus $2.00 for S&H....made

A reader remarked on the "Zen" Taster's
Choice ad I posted last week, so I dug up a few more
from my files. Environmentalism, a comprehensive spirituality, and
a search for wellness characterize the new paradigm. Words like "Mantra"
and "Karma"
have entered common usage. Yoga
is the biggest thing in fitness. The sea change in the mind of the
American consumer is so abundantly clear that would take a trained,
professional journalist to be able to miss it completely.
That's why Alex's is here to be your guide to
the culture
shift....

Herbal Tip of the Day: Yesterday when I felt a cold coming
on I acted just in time with my trusty Ginger recipe. Take a piece
of fresh ginger as big as your thumb,(at least), shred or chop, and
boil 10 to 15 minutes. Flavor to taste with lemon and honey, or just
drink it straight If you catch the cold early, you'll knock it right
out...

I love to watch the way the global paradigm
shift to all things wholistic is showing up in the media and advertising.
Take for example the ad I've posted here
, using Zen to sell Taster's Choice coffee. I got to thinking
about this when I was reading about the latest GM concept vehicle,
the Pontiac
Solstice...
write to me if you find other
examples.....
